Lucy Boston Quilt

Para compor o Lucy Boston quilt são necessários 56 blocos, por enquanto tenho prontos 20 blocos. Falta pouco... rsrs Faço os blocos utilizando Inklingo de Linda Franz, que considero perfeito para este tipo e outros trabalhos em Patchwork. Resolvi também fazer o primeiro canto e mostro aqui como ficou, agora só faltam três. Este é um quilt que faço sem a menor pressa, cada bloco é um prazer e uma descoberta. Atualmente tenho como companheira de 'tardadas' minha amiga portuguesa Ana Maria e em breve terei uma outra amiga também portuguesa que ingressará nesta jornada.

In order to compose the Lucy Boston quilt we need 56 blocks, for now I'm ready 20 blocks. I'm almost there ... lol  I did the blocks using Inklingo  by Linda Franz, I consider the perfect way for this kind and the others works we can do in Patchwork. I also decided to make the first corner and show below, it was now only three to do. This is a quilt that I don't in a hurry, each block it is an exercise of criativity, a pleasure and discovery the possibilities of what we can do with fabrics. Nowadays my companion of Lucy Boston afternoons is my Portuguese friend Ana Maria and I will soon have another friend who also will join us on this journey.

Tapetinho para caneca - Mug Rug Inklingo Swap

Como eu utilizo Inklingo como técnica em diversas peças que faço, no final do ano passado participei de uma troca de peças com as colegas do grupo Inklingo. Esta foi o tapetinho para caneca que fiz, a mão e quiltei a máquina, que enviei a minha colega de grupo no Colorado/USA.

How I use Inklingo as a technique in many pieces that I do, last year I participated of Inklingo Mug Rub Swap and then change Mug rubs with colleagues of Inklingo group. This is a Mug Rub that I made by hand and quilt by machine to my Inklingo friend in Colorado / USA.

Bloco Losango - Diamonds Stack-n-Whack by Inklingo

Resolvi aceitar o desafio de fazer estes blocos de losangos no método "Stack-n-Whack" como sugeriu Linda Franz do Inklingo. Usei o Inklingo 60 Diamond 3 inches. Realmente foi fácil. A parte mais complicada foi decidir o tecido certo e os pontos certos para imprimir colado no Freezer Paper. Inklingo é incrível! Estou contente com o resultado. Penso que os blocos ficarão muito bem num caminho de mesa. Abaixo a foto do tecido e os blocos.

I decided to accept the challenge to make the blocks of diamonds in "Stack-n-Whack" method as suggested Linda Franz of Inklingo. I used the Inklingo 60 Diamond 3 inches. It was really easy. The hardest part was deciding the right fabric and the points to print pasted into the Freezer Paper. Inklingo is awesome! I'm happy with the result. I think the blocks will be fine in a table runner. See below the picture of the fabric and the blocks.

Fiz este tapete para caneca (Mug rug) para uma amiga que mora no Rio de Janeiro. Aproveitei e fiz também protetores de caneca (Reversible beverage holder) para o casal amigo. O tapete foi feito com a técnica Inklingo, que é realmente maravilhoso !!

I made this Mug rug (with Inklingo, what is wonderful to do) for a friend who live in Rio de Janeiro. Then, I enjoy the time and make two Reversible beverage holder too.

E aqui está mais um bloco! o bloco e um detalhe dele. Este é o 13º bloco dos 56 que desejo fazer para a colcha de 88 x 99 polegadas. Tenho um bom caminho pela frente. Esta sendo muito proveitoso e criativo. Nunca imaginei que ia gostar tanto de trabalhar à mão. O blocos são impressos via Inklingo, que é realmente uma maneira excelente de se fazer com precisão. 

Well, another block!  and a detail of it. This is the 13th block of 56 I want to make for my Lucy Boston quilt with 88 x 99 inches. I know,... I have a good road ahead. But, this is very fruiful and creative. I never thought I'd like so much to do patchwork by hand. The blocks are printed via Inklingo, which it is really an excellent way to do accurately and using your creativity.

Estes são os meus blocos do Patchwork of the crosses by Lucy Boston que fiz utilizando o sistema Inklingo de Linda Franz. Descobri ao acaso esta técnica. Os blocos são todos feitos a mão, mas também pode-se alternar com a costura à máquina. Estou muito contente com o resultado. Lucy Boston blocks oportuniza a criatividade, e o resultado é muito bonito, estou empolgada com a beleza do trabalho. Pretendo fazer a colcha como mostra o modelo do livro de Lucy Boston (ver abaixo).

These are the first blocks Patchwork of the crosses by Lucy Boston I made using the system Inklingo by Linda Franz. I just searching some patterns in internet and discovered the Inklingo and sure the technique. The blocks are all made by hand, but can also be alternated with the sewing machine. I am very happy with the result. Lucy Boston blocks encourage the creativity, and the result is very beautiful, I am excited with the beauty of the work and I intend to make the quilt as shown in the model of Lucy Boston book (see below).
