Montmellick - Mystery Quilt by Di Ford - Quiltmania (2014-2015)

A little bit of Houston - International Quilt Festival 2015

Austen Family Album Quilt
Today was a different day, I made the last Austen Family Album block, the 36 that I started in March of this year. It was a laborious work but very good project to be done, mainly because I had the company all the year of my friend Ana Maria. Now, I have to think of the sashing, borders, but we could not resist (Ana and I) to put in Electric Quilt 7 to see how it look. Well, here is the work! Then when I assembled and quilted I'll return to post the finished quilt. Here is a photo with the 36 blocks in EQ7. If you want to see the blocks separetely, please see in my Flickr.

Lucy Boston Quilt
In order to compose the Lucy Boston quilt we need 56 blocks, for now I'm ready 20 blocks. I'm almost there ... lol I did the blocks using Inklingo by Linda Franz, I consider the perfect way for this kind and the others works we can do in Patchwork. I also decided to make the first corner and show below, it was now only three to do. This is a quilt that I don't in a hurry, each block it is an exercise of criativity, a pleasure and discovery the possibilities of what we can do with fabrics. Nowadays my companion of Lucy Boston afternoons is my Portuguese friend Ana Maria and I will soon have another friend who also will join us on this journey.
