Centro de Mesa Flores- Flowers Table Runner

Este centro de mesa foi criado por mim utilizando um painel da Essence by Moda. Foi idealizado quando eu ainda vivia em Portugal (2010) e terminado quando já estava de volta ao Brasil (2011). A parte que considero mais bonita, além do patchwork, é a do bordado em que bordei parte à máquina e outra à mão, porém uma grande parte do bordado das flores foi bordada à mão por minha mãe, uma bordadeira e tanto.

This flower table runner was created by myself with a panel of Essence by Moda. It was idealized when I'm living in Portugal (2010) and finished when I was back to Brazil (2011). The part I find most beautiful beyond the patchwork is the embroidery of flowers that I made some by hand and some by machine but also the great part is many flowers were hand embroidered by my mother, a wonderful embroiderer.

Centro de Mesa de Natal - Christmas Table runner

Apesar do Natal já ter passado somente agora eu terminei este centro de mesa, usarei no Natal deste ano. Foi feito com um Charm pack e idealizado via Electric Quilt 7.0. O acabamento da borda foi feito por minha mãe.

Although Christmas had passed just now I finished this table runner, I will use it for Christmas this year. It was made with a Christimas Charm Pack an planning using Electric Quilt 7.0. The binding was made by my mother.

Outro tipo de caleidoscópio - Another kind of Kaleidoscope

Com minha amiga Ana Maria, tentamos uma nova forma de fazer caleidoscópio e o resultado foi este. Trabalhamos e nos divertimos em tardes de Agosto de 2010 fazendo este quilt. Depois de pronta a colcha foi enviada para Lucia Azara da Quilt Arte que fez um maravilhoso quilt à máquina. Aqui está o resultado final.

With my friend Ana Maria, we tried a new way of kaleidoscope technique. We work and enjoy the time on many afternoons on August 2010. After the quilt was ready I sent to Lucia Azara of Quilt Arte (Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) where she made a wonderful quilt by machine. Here is the final result.

Colcha Caleidoscópio Floral - Kaleidoscope floral quilt

Esta colcha foi feita por muitas mãos, de Agosto a Dezembro de 2010. O corte do kaleidoscópio foi feito em conjunto com minha amiga Ana Maria. A confecção dos blocos e acabamentos foram feitos por mim. Depois de finalizada foi enviada à Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil e quiltada a máquina por Lucia Azara. Aqui está o resultado. Gostaria de agradecer a minha amiga Ana pelo tempo tão bom passado juntas, e a arte do quilt feito por Lúcia.

This quilt was done by many hands from August to December/2010. The cut of the kaleidoscope was made by my friend Ana Maria and me. I sew all the blocks and finished the quilt. When was done I sent to Lucia Azara at Quilt Arte in Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to quilt by machine. Here is the result. I would like to thank my friend Ana Maria for good time together and the quilt art made by Lucia.

Caminho de mesa - Bargello Table Runner with Bargello

Este caminho de mesa é a composição de dois painéis com o centro feito com a técnica 'bargello'. O bargello foi feito sob orientação da minha amiga Ana Maria que também tem me auxiliado na confecção final da borda (binding) o que é muito bom!! Os dois painéis são bordados à máquina. Aqui está o resultado.

This table runner is a composition with two painels and the center using the bargello tecnique. The bargello was done with Ana Maria's guidance who always help me with the binding. The two painels are embroidered by machine. Here is the result.

Colcha de Jelly Roll - Jelly Roll Quilt

Esta colcha foi elaborada entre final do ano de 2009 e finalizada em Maio de 2010 - foi elaborada com dois Jelly Roll's (80 tiras de 2''1/2) de Kaffe Fassett, o modelo foi retirado da revista 'Jelly Roll Quilts de Pam & Nicky Lintott' que a chamam de 'Barras de ouro' (Bars of Gold). Para finalizar a colcha tive o auxílio da minha amiga portuguesa Ana Maria que fez a borda da colcha (binding) e o quilt foi feito pela Profª Luísa Silva da Doquilts, Lisboa, Portugal.

Caminhos de mesa de caleidoscópio - Kaleidoscope Table runners

Estes dois caminhos de mesa foram feitos em momentos diferentes. Os dois foram elaborados com a orientação da profª Josiane (Curitiba/PR, Brasil) o de tom mais escuro, foi quiltado por ela e o mais claro foi quiltado por mim já em terras portuguesas. O binding do mais claro (caleidoscópio com flores amarelas) foi feito pela minha amiga portuguesa Ana Maria. Para mim este é o verdadeiro espírito do patchwork, 'feito com muitas mãos'.
These two table runners were made at different times. Both were developed with the guidance of Prof. Josiane (Art & Borda, Curitiba PR, Brazil) of the darker tone, it was quilted by Josiane and the lighter was quilted by myself already living in Portugal. The binding of the lighter (kaleidoscope with yellow flowers)was made by my Portuguese friend Ana Maria. In my opinion it is the true spirit of the patchwork, "made with many hands'.

Início da era 'Caleidoscópio',... The beginning of 'the kaleidoscope era'

Em 2008 iniciei o que hoje chamo de 'a era caleidoscópio'. Iniciei nesta arte com aulas e a orientação da profª Josiane (Arte & Borda, Curitiba/PR, Brasil). Para meu primeiro trabalho usei tecido brasileiro e confesso que me surpreendi com os resultados. O que quer dizer que não importa que tecido você use, importa como o utiliza. Mostro aqui a colcha pronta e dois detalhes de dois blocos. A colcha foi quiltada pela profª Lillian (Oficina dos Bordados, Curitiba/PR, Brasil).

In 2008 I began what I call today "the kaleidoscope era". I had some classes with Josiane (Arte & Borda, Curitiba, PR, Brasil) to learn this art. For my first work I used Brazilian fabric and I confess it surprises me with teh result. Which means that no matter what fabric you use bur how it uses. Here I show the first quilt and details of blocks. The quilt was quilted by Lillian (teacher of Oficina do Bordado, Curitiba/Pr, Brazil).
